First, you need to mentally prepare yourself for this feat, change your lifestyle, set a clear goal, and only then start a proper diet, which would contain all the vitamins and minerals your body needs.
From an endless list of diets, you can choose any, but you need to know exactly how many kilograms you want to lose weight, and what foods you are ready to give up. When the main thing is determined, the circle of searches will immediately narrow significantly. Now it is important to know the origins of the remaining diets, their scientific basis and effects on the body. If such parameters are not indicated in the diet, you should immediately delete it from the list, and do not experiment!
In the next step, analyze how your body is theoretically ready to withstand at least one of the remaining diets. This is especially true for those people who have any health problems, such as diabetes, hypertension, or coronary heart disease. In this case, it is worth considering what kind of food the doctors recommended and how much it contradicts the set of foods that you are going to consume.

If this is a monotonous repetition of the same breakfasts, lunches and dinners, think – are you able to withstand such a regime for several weeks? And should you deny yourself the pleasure of consuming the usual amount of minerals and vitamins, replacing them with dubious chemical complexes? Pay attention to diets that offer a variety of dishes that give free rein to your imagination and imagination. Thus, the risk of falling out and eating what you are trying to refuse is reduced.

However, you should not count on rapid significant weight loss in the first weeks, because in order not to return something that was shed with such great difficulty, experts advise to lose weight by only 3-4 kilograms per month. More intense weight loss harms the liver, kidneys, immune system and increases the risk of regaining weight after the end of the diet.

Michel Montignac’s diet
If you decide to follow this food system, then get ready to eat according to it, if not all your life, then quite a significant period of time. French nutritionist Michel Montignac believes that weight gain occurs when the main function of the pancreas – the production of insulin – is impaired, which is why his method of nutrition is aimed at restoring the functions of the pancreas. Montignac radically divided all products into good and bad. He classifies foods with a high glycemic index as bad, i.e. with a high rate of increase in blood glucose after consuming the product. And to find out what the glycemic index of a particular product is, you can use special tables, which are easy to find on the Internet. Moreover, if the product index is above 50, then Montignac considers it bad.
You also need to be prepared for separate meals. At the first stage of the diet, which lasts exactly as long as you see fit, special attention should be paid to lean meat and fish, low-fat dairy products, cheeses, eggs, vegetables, beans, beans, soy, lemon and mushrooms. At the second stage, you can relax a little and include in the diet of coarse grains, as well as, in a small amount of foods, the glycemic index of which exceeds 50. You will have to exclude foods containing both carbohydrates and proteins from your diet. You will also have to give up sugar, candy, jams, rice, white flour bread, alcoholic drinks, honey, chocolate, bananas, pasta, potatoes and corn.
A pleasant moment of this diet will be the removal of restrictions on the amount of food intake. Yes, many products are prohibited, but those that are allowed can be eaten in unlimited quantities, which means that you will not be haunted by the feeling of hunger! However, do not forget that you need to eat at least three times a day, at about the same time. Pay special attention to breakfast, which should be hearty enough, and dinner, which, on the contrary, should be made as light as possible.
As you can see, this diet has many advantages: normalization of metabolism, ease of adherence to the menu, no restriction on salt, separate nutrition. But in addition to the positive effect, there are also significant disadvantages: insufficient balance, which will have to be replenished with additional intake of vitamin-mineral complexes, the prohibition of people with diabetes mellitus to follow the specified nutritional method and the prohibition of alcohol consumption.
Despite the identified shortcomings, if all the recommendations are followed, the Montignac diet leads to long-term results.
Kim Protasov’s diet
The main emphasis in this diet falls on dairy products, which are cheeses, kefir, cottage cheese and yogurt. According to the author, due to these products, metabolism is normalized and the intestines cleansed.
The diet lasts five weeks, but is divided into several periods. So, the first period is two weeks, during which it is proposed to consume fermented milk products with a fat content of up to 5%, fresh vegetables, three apples and one egg per day. Sour milk products and vegetables are allowed to be eaten in any quantity and at any time of the day. You can also drink unlimited amount of still mineral water, tea and coffee without sugar.
The second period is 3 weeks, during which lean meat and fish are introduced into the diet (no more than 300 grams per day), as a result of which there is a decrease in the consumption of fermented milk products and the saturation of the body with protein. Moreover, over the past two weeks, the most intense weight loss has occurred.
The third period is a direct exit from the diet, after which you need to try not to immediately pounce on fried potatoes, rolls or cakes. Kim Protasov recommends switching to a normal diet gradually. First, replacing 5% dairy products with less fatty ones, and apples with any other fruits. Then replace some vegetables with porridge and add oil to your diet. Thus, a small increase in calories is the basis for exiting the diet.
The advantages of the diet include: unlimited food, normalization of metabolism and functions of the pancreas, a sufficient amount of protein, calcium and lactose, vitamins, minerals, trace elements and fiber. But, like any other diet, Kim Protasov’s system has drawbacks: it is contraindicated for people suffering from hypertension, diseases of the cardiovascular system, renal failure and allergies to dairy products.
