Adherents of non-traditional methods of losing weight say: water with lemon and cucumber helps to remove excess fluid from the body and speeds up metabolism, helping to lose weight. No more and no less ordinary water! Sassi’s just a smart PR guy (just kidding).
Water became popular in healthy eating circles thanks to the American nutritionist Santia Sass, who developed the Flat Belly Program. According to her theory, you can get rid of excess fat in an area problematic for many girls in two stages. The first is eating no more than 1,400 kcal with a restricted diet, the second is the elimination of foods that cause gas in the intestines and the use of an author’s drink, invented as an addition to the diet.
I don’t recommend sticking to this system. First, the daily calorie intake must be calculated taking into account height, weight and physiological characteristics of the body. It cannot be the same for everyone. Secondly, modern nutritionists advocate a balanced diet that does not involve the use of brown rice and chicken breast alone. Thirdly, I repeat, the water in the Sass program was an addition, not a separate means of losing weight.
Recipe and benefits of Sassi water
And now for the good. The composition of Sassi water contains many useful substances, vitamins, micro and macro elements. They really help to some extent to improve digestion, but not lose weight! Losing weight requires an integrated approach: exercise, nutrition, normal sleep and self-discipline.
The Sassi adherents explain the “magic” of water by the correct combination of ingredients that work as a single mechanism. I will disappoint: 2 liters of ordinary water are as “magic” as cucumber water. Odes of praise can be attributed in part to the placebo effect.
And now the main thing is the recipe.
To make Sassi cucumber water you will need:
- Drinking water – 1 liter
- Cucumber – 1 pc.
- Lemon – 0.5 pcs.
- Fresh Ginger Root
Grate root of ginger and pour boiling water over. Strain and cool the broth. Cut the cucumber and lemon into slices. Rub the mint leaves in your hands. Place the ingredients in a jug and cover with water. Refrigerate until morning. Drink with two ice cubes.
