Give up coffee, add berries to the diet and other nutritional rules from a nutritionist that are relevant now
INrach-nutritionist Oksana Matiyuk (@oksana_matiyuk) told why in the heat you should give up coffee and “heavy” protein.
Rule # 1: drink plenty of water
In the heat, we lose a lot of fluid that needs to be replenished. Dehydration can lead to serious consequences – the brain suffers first. Always carry a bottle of water with you. You can add a slice of lemon or a sprig of mint to it. In addition, water temporarily eliminates hunger, which is especially important for those who want to lose weight.
Rule # 2: give up coffee
Coffee can cause dehydration. If you can’t completely skip this drink, drink 2 glasses of water after each cup to replenish your fluid supply. Read here how stars replace coffee.
Rule # 3: Minimize your alcohol intake
Alcohol and healthy lifestyle are generally difficult to reconcile concepts. I don’t think it’s worth talking about its harmful effects on the liver and the body. Alcohol is more dehydrating than coffee or other drinks.
Rule # 4: Don’t Eat “Heavy” Protein
Go for the highly digestible protein found in fish and seafood. Minimize the consumption of meat – in the heat it is too much stress on the body. In addition, fish helps to better retain moisture in the skin.
Rule # 5: eat more berries
Berries contain flavonoids that protect the skin from photoaging. Not to mention that it is a storehouse of vitamins, micro- and macroelements.
Rule # 6: include beef liver, buckwheat and spinach in your diet
These foods contain copper, which is involved in melanin synthesis. Their regular use will help you achieve a beautiful, even tan and protect your skin from burns.
Rule # 7: practice fasting days
When it’s very hot outside, arrange fasting days for yourself. This does not mean that you need to completely give up food – no extreme. Drink plenty of water, eat vegetables in any form: raw, baked, grilled.
Rule # 8: Look for Fresh Food
This point may seem a little odd. But at high temperatures, food spoils very quickly, even in refrigerators. Never buy vegetables and fruits that are sold along the roads – they have collected all the dust, dirt and harmful exhaust from cars.
Rule # 9: listen to your body
Summer is the best time to lose weight. Have you noticed that in the heat you want much less fatty, fried, salty and sweet? Listen to your body and seize the opportunity to become prettier and slimmer.
Rule # 10: wash your hands often
In the summer, pathogens multiply at a frantic rate. Always carry disinfectant lotions and wet wipes with you. Be sure to use soap after using the toilet – according to statistics, only 15% of people do this.
