Lunch, Dinner, Dessert: Three Nutritious Avocado Dishes
ANDWokado is a real find for those who respect their health. This berry (exactly a berry, you heard right) does not contain sugar and unhealthy fats, but at the same time it is just a storehouse of oleic acid, which breaks down cholesterol. In addition, the fruit is rich in vitamin E (which is necessary for our hair and skin), potassium, sodium, magnesium and other micro and macro elements.
But the list of useful properties of “alligator pear” (“cute” nickname for avocado) does not end there either! In 1998, she was listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the most nutritious fruit in the world – as much as 200 kcal per 100 grams! So, having eaten half an avocado in the morning, you can feel full until lunchtime (this, incidentally, explains its presence in many popular diets). Avocado is good for the cardiovascular system, improves performance and immunity, and is also a powerful natural antioxidant.
The fruit tastes somewhat like spiced butter, so there are hardly many people who want to eat it like an ordinary pear. But with a little effort, you can easily make a whole dinner out of it.
A traditional Russian lunch starts with soup. Tired of borscht, hodgepodge and sorrel? Make an avocado puree soup! Moreover, to complete this task you do not need to be a god of culinary art.
avocado – 3 pcs.
chicken broth – 450 g
garlic – 2 cloves
green onions – 1 bunch
lemon – 1 pc.
paprika – 1/4 tsp
seasoning cumin (cumin) – 1/4 tsp.
ice water – 30 g
ground black pepper
Slice the avocado and remove the seeds, scoop out the flesh with a spoon. Fold the pulp, onion, garlic, lemon juice into a blender and chop until puree. Add the paprika and cumin and then whisk the mixture again. Next, add chicken broth to the resulting mass. After that, the mixture can be sent to the refrigerator.
Dilute the soup with ice water before serving. Serve with chopped parsley. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Spaghetti with avocado sauce

spaghetti – 250 g
avocado – 1 pc.
lemon – 0.5 pcs.
garlic – 2 cloves
fresh basil – 0.5 bunch
olive oil – 2 tbsp. l.
freshly ground black pepper
Cook the spaghetti the traditional way. Our hack: keep the pasta in water for 2 minutes less than indicated on the package for a traditional Italian taste. Make the sauce: Place the avocado pulp, garlic, basil leaves, olive oil and some lemon juice in a blender and beat until smooth. Season the pasta with the sauce. Garnish with lemon zest and basil leaves.

honey – 1/4 cup
lime zest – 2 tsp
vanillin – 0.5-1 tsp.
a pinch of salt
