Detox cocktails usually use juices, fresh or frozen berries, fruits, vegetables, herbs, spices, and tea. These are peculiar salads in liquid form. But they are distinguished from salads by the ease of assimilation and the ability to eat much more healthy foods than in general. If you find it difficult to eat, for example, a whole beet or a bunch of parsley, turn them into a smooth puree using a blender, dilute with your favorite juice, yogurt or fresh berries, mask the unusual taste with honey and drink to your health. After the blender breaks down the tough cell membranes, vitamins and trace elements from plants are absorbed much better. It should be remembered that detox cocktails can contain strong acids and other active substances that stimulate digestion, so drinking them on an empty stomach is dangerous, the best time for acidic detox cocktails is 20-30 minutes after a meal. If the cocktail contains no acids, you can drink it before meals. In any case, detox cocktails cannot be substituted for meals. These drinks have no fat, very little protein, and carbohydrates are mostly non-digestible fiber. Losing weight on such a diet will work, but you will have to pay for it with health.

Vegetable cocktailAnother group – nutritional shakes, as a rule, contain proteins, fats and complex carbohydrates. They also serve as an excellent source of vitamins and minerals, but unlike detox cocktails, they perfectly saturate and satisfy hunger for a long time, which is very important for those on a diet. Do not be afraid of the high calorie content of these drinks. If you use high-quality natural products for their preparation, and before using such a cocktail, go for a jog or do an intense fitness session, all the calories will be beneficial – for building muscles, for nourishing the brain and internal organs, for renewing skin cells. These cocktails are missing the worst enemy of losing weight – empty calories that go straight to body fat. That is why protein shakes can be considered slimming cocktails – they saturate better than sweets and fast food, and at the same time do not contain anything harmful. Even the most high-calorie protein shake made from milk, bananas and nuts is much healthier than a low-calorie carbonated drink with chips. Recall again: protein shakes help you lose weight quickly only in combination with exercise.

Detox cocktail Ayurveda

1 liter of water
1 tsp green tea,
1 tbsp fresh grated ginger,
1 tsp turmeric,
1 tsp fennel or dill seeds,
1 tbsp lemon juice

Place the grated ginger, turmeric and fennel seeds in a jar. Put the tea in a heated teapot, fill it with hot water, and immediately drain the water into a jar with spices.
