Autumn is the season of figs! Doctors and nutritionists advise adding it to the diet for the prevention of respiratory, cardiovascular and digestive diseases. The product contains a large amount of nutrients: ascorbic acid, vitamin A, B vitamins, calcium, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, fiber. It can be eaten both fresh and dried (just remember that in the first case there are about 74 kcal per 100 g, and in the second – more than 250 kcal!). Ingredients:

  • whole wheat bread
  • goat cheese
  • honey
  • figs

Preparation

Spread goat cheese on fresh bread or toast. Place the fig slices and top with honey.

For lunch: salad with figs

  • 100 g lettuce leaves (lettuce, arugula, spinach)
  • 120 g mozzarella cheese
  • 3-4 figs
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp honey
  • salt, pepper to taste
  • 50 g ham (optional)
  • crushed nuts (for decoration)

Preparation

Cut the cheese and figs into cubes, the ham into thin strips. Add all ingredients to a bowl and mix thoroughly. You can garnish the salad with chopped nuts.

For dinner: pasta with figs

Ingredients (for 4 servings):

  • 250 g pasta
  • 100 ml cream
  • 3-4 figs
  • 50 g cheese
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 3-4 tbsp olive oil
  • butter to taste
  • salt, pepper to taste
  • basil (for decoration)

Preparation

1. Boil pasta in salted water until half cooked (3-5 minutes less than necessary). Transfer them to a saucepan.

2. Cut the figs into slices and fry in oil in a frying pan.

3. Grate cheese on a fine grater, and then add to the finished pasta. Add lemon juice and cream to cheese and pasta. Mix well.

4. Transfer the pasta to the pan with the fried figs. Cook until cooked over low heat, stirring. Add water if necessary.

5. Serve the pasta with basil or other herbs.

For dessert: curd treat with figs in a glass

Ingredients (for 1 serving):

  • 50 g cottage cheese
  • 50 ml Greek yogurt
  • 1 fig
  • 1 shortbread cookie
  • 1 tsp brown sugar

Preparation

1. Whisk the cottage cheese, Greek yogurt and sugar in a mixer.

2. Cut the figs into thin slices and place them on the bottom of the glass, leaving two to three slices for garnish.

3. Add half of the mixture of cottage cheese, yogurt and sugar to the figs in a glass.

4. Crush the cookies, add them to the glass.

5. Pour the remaining mixture of cottage cheese, yogurt and sugar into a glass. Top with the remaining fig wedges. You can also crumble the cookies.

Ingredients:

  • figs
  • balsamic vinegar
  • salt
  • Pine nuts

  • honey

Preparation

1. Cut the figs in half and remove the stems. Place the fig wedges on a baking sheet.

2. Sprinkle the figs with balsamic vinegar and add salt.

3. Put the baking sheet with figs in the oven preheated to 200 degrees. Bake for 2 hours.

4. Preheat oven to 275 degrees, leave figs for another 30-45 minutes. Or until it is completely ready.

5. Fry the pine nuts in a dry skillet.

6. When the figs are ready, add pine nuts, some goat cheese, balsamic vinegar and honey.
