Weekend recipe from TV presenter Marika Kravtsova: tomato and strawberry gazpacho

Recently, for example, Marika shared an idea of ​​how to add some strawberry flavor to gazpacho soup. The combination of tomatoes and strawberries seems rather strange, but it looks very appetizing in the photo.

Gazpacho is a traditional cold soup from my beloved Spain. Simple, aromatic and refreshing. In the heat, when you least want to stand by the stove – perfect! – noted Marika. – I also love classic gazpacho, but more – with an unusual combination for us with strawberries.


  • 2 small sweet tomatoes
  • 3 cucumbers
  • 1 small bell pepper
  • half shallots (optional)
  • 1/2 kg strawberries
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 2 sprigs of thyme
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • Salt pepper


In a blender, combine tomatoes, strawberries, two cucumbers, garlic, shallots.

Add salt, pepper, vinegar, olive oil, thyme, and half a glass of water to the resulting mass. Whisk again in a blender until smooth. Cut the remaining cucumber and strawberries for garnish.

Pour the soup into nice bowls with sliced ​​cucumber and strawberries on top. You can also garnish the dish with a sprig of thyme and drizzle with a drop of oil.

“And it would be great if the soup stood in the refrigerator before serving, so that it was brewed and was refreshingly cold,” advised Marika.
