What fruits should you eat to lose weight?

MMany people avoid fruits during their diet as they contain a lot of sugar, albeit natural. However, fruits are rich in many vitamins and minerals that strengthen the immune system. Of course, while on a diet, it is important to pay attention to the fruits that you eat – some of them are quite suitable for a dietary diet, and some, on the contrary, it is better to exclude. How to eat fruits correctly and which ones are best for you, says the ambassador of a healthy food delivery service Grow Food, vice-champion of Europe and Russia in athletics and professional coach, Maria Sokolova.

First, I advise those who are losing weight to eat fruit in the morning, 1.5-2 hours before the main meal. In general, you can also eat them right for breakfast, such as making cereals, casseroles, yoghurts with apple, peach, or strawberry chunks (star recipes for healthy breakfasts can be found here). Fruits are great at saturating the body, so you will feel full for a long time. On the Grow Food menu, we often offer breakfast foods such as strawberry curds, healthy pancakes with fruit sauces or PP muffins with pineapple.

In the evening, fruit is best avoided as it takes a long time to digest and is difficult to digest, thereby contributing to weight gain.

What kind of fruit should you eat to lose weight?

This fruit is just perfect for your diet! Firstly, it itself is low in calories, and also contains a large amount of vitamins E and C – the very antioxidants that cleanse the body of toxins and strengthen the immune system. Kiwi also contains a unique enzyme – actinidin, which has a stimulating effect on the digestive system.

A pineapple

This sunny fruit contains a lot of vitamin B1, which is responsible for carbohydrate metabolism, and, accordingly, helps to lose weight. At the same time, there is practically no fat in pineapple, and its calorie content is only 48 kcal per 100 g. By the way, the acids contained in pineapple improve the production of collagen, which is responsible for the youthfulness and freshness of the skin. And pineapple is also rich in bromelain, which helps fight cellulite (about foods that, on the contrary, cause cellulite, we wrote here).

A juicy pear contains a lot of fiber and thus contributes to a comfortable digestion. The only caveat: it is better not to eat a pear on an empty stomach, since the content of active fiber in it is extremely high. It is better to consume a pear half an hour or an hour after a meal. It contains vitamins C, A, E, B1, B2, folic acid, potassium and zinc.

The beneficial substances contained in pomegranate improve metabolism, as well as establish the process of fat burning. Pomegranate is rich in vitamin C, minerals, amino acids and dietary fiber. Its grains can be consumed as a separate meal or added to various salads and PP desserts. If you don’t like grains, then pomegranate juice is an alternative option.

This citrus fruit contains enzymes that contribute to effective weight loss. By the way, grapefruit, like a pear, should not be eaten on an empty stomach, especially if you have problems with the gastrointestinal tract, because it contains a large amount of acids. But if your stomach is okay, then sometimes you can arrange grapefruit fasting days – during the day before each meal, eat half of this fruit, and it will help you fight excess fats.

Of course, while losing weight, do not forget that fiber, proteins, healthy fats, and of course, a large amount of liquid (at least 1-1.5 liters of water per day) should also be present in your diet.
